Affluenza: An epidemic of overconsumption

Affluenza is another sign of vanity, in our sociopathic and narcissistic society. The economy is supposedly bad, yet we now own more cell phones, I-Pods, lab taps and other expensive electronic gadgets than any generation before. People stand in line (when they should be at their jobs working.) In a Kindle commercial a woman brags that she paid more for a pair of sunglasses than for 139$ Kindle. Is a pair of sun glasses really worth more than 4 $? These sick values of our society is being passed off as being normal. Yet another ad sells us the idea that it is okay for us to get robbed; when a couple discovers everything they own has been stolen but they are only concerned that the thief left them their computer meaning that they need to buy a new computer. This is vanity to it's utlimate dysfunctional extreme. Meanwhile health care reform is in the news, and a night in the hospital in which a doctor does nothing for patient still costs more than a night at the local Holiday Inn, when a doctor does nothing. We are in a lot of trouble...We need to get our priorities straight America! Dare I say that everybody is out of their God damned minds!!! Ever go to Mapquest to get directions, and notice to get the damn thing to work you have to click on Classic Mapquest, or to use Windows XP you have to set the appearance to Classic Windows. Why have classic? Why not just leave things that work has assed right in the first place alone? Consumerism thats why! They think if they do not keep screwing with things to make them newer than nobody will buy the damn things. Why not just one operating system on a computer?  but no they have keep changing it. That's why I am switching to UNIX...and Bill Gates can go to hell for all I care. Facebook is always changing. Facebook is another great joke on us. Woe is us! It is the ultimate social engineering population surveilance tool. It is television with all the fictional nonsense and the God damn lies, that television provided but more! It has marketing and demographic monitoring. Aren't you glad to be a part of the most awesome God damn mind controlling system that the human race has ever invented called the social network; where you are nothing but a node in a network. A dummy terminal on a system of computers sharing information about your pitiful little crazy life. I am glad I logged in to Facebook, I am glad to be on YouTube, I am glad to be another mindless God damn idiot on the blogosphere...So I can say I am good little conformist along with everybody else who is out of their damn minds!!! Meanwhile Big Brother, the almighty powers that be, the government or what person buys and sells information can target me along with everyone of you who uses the damn internet. Aren't we glad to be online? So much better than those who are poor, who don't own gadgets that go online, or are completely computer illiterate. Don't worry, we will join hands together and commit genocide against those who computer illiterate! You know what it our God damn right to destroy the weak, because he are shoppers! We consume! We are affluent! Let's crush the poor who are not online! Go paperless so that elderly people who do not understand technology can hurry up and die! They are not buying cool things any more, let's bury them alive! Let's show em all screwed up and dysfunctional we have become.

Ne Humanus Crede

Ne Humanus Crede is Latin for "Trust no human"  Why do I say trust no human? There are only two types of people in this world, the crazy people and the psychopaths. Being crazy may not be the worst thing you can be, however a psychopath is a person who believes that they have the right to harm others and they have remorse for doing so. First of all what does it mean to be crazy? The Rosenhan experiment was a famous experiment into the validity of psychiatric diagnosis conducted by psychologist David Rosenhan in 1973. It was published in the journal Science under the title "On being sane in insane places." David Rosenhan sent fake patients to a mental hospital to find out if the experts could find out who the fakes were; the hospital staff was unable to do so. So what is crazy? Crazy is a democratic majority consensus that you are crazy; and other than that it has no meaning once so ever. But what is a psychopath? Cathy Spatz Widom placed an ad that she was looking to hire, charming, self-motivated, self-interested individuals whom will stop at nothing to be successful. Her research led to the concept of the "functional psychopath" or the "normal psychopath" or what we could term as even the "sociopath." Persons whom may have never been arrested and may have never been hospitalized for anything psychiatric but they have no remorse and they believe that they have the right to hurt others. They are in a sense cold persons. They fit all the criteria for a diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder, but they function well in our society. These are the nasty faced people I see shopping at the grocery store, who put broadcast hostility at me as I purchase a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. People are always judging others. Whatever happened to live and let live or mind your own damn business. Our society has become very petty, insane and unfriendly. The economy is supposedly bad, yet we now own more cell phones, I-Pods, lab taps and other expensive electronic gadgets than any generation before. Question: If the economy is so bad and people are out of work why is that purchasing new digital devices are such a priority? In 1974 a poll was taken 70% of American males over the age of 18 were do-it yourselfers, whom could fix plumbing problems, electrical problems in their homes or work on auto repair...by the year 2011 a poll found that only 13% of American males over the age of 18 are do-it-yourselfers. America has been emasculated! I believe technology has done this to us. People would rather tweet, text and facebook then be friendly and personable in public...but then comes the homeless guy, or guy with a sign asking for free money claiming to be homeless, he will talk to you or there is the street preacher who wants to use his mind controlling religion on you. When it comes to these people you are a person of value, you are a resource or a commodity to them, and they are not to busy tweeting, texting or facebooking to speak to you. So men whom can not do home repair or auto repair may call you crazy, they may bum for change try to control your mind with their religion, they might look down at you as if you are inferior, may be stuck up, pass judgment upon you, but at least you can know that they were the first to buy the Google box or the Q-Pod this month. Be safe out there...and remember trust no one
